Notts & Derby District SBT Club Open Show, 5 Dec 2015 Judge: John Parker (Nettleworth). Junior Bitch - A very nice Class. 2nd Willowstaff Dream Catcher. Slightly taller black brindle bitch of nice proportions. Decent head with dark round eyes and tidy ears, decent front and feet good rib, tail set, good front angulation. She had a habit of crouching down which made her back end look slightly over angulated. Just preferred the expression of class winner.

Notts & Derby District SBT Club Limited Show, 20 March 2016 Judge: Peter Knight (Redrichstaff). Graduate Bitch.
RESERVE BEST BITCH.
1st Willowstaff Dream Catcher. With her impressive head shape, rose ears, darkest of eyes and good length in muzzle just sets this girl on fire the moment you look at her, she makes your heart melt when she looks back and oozes QUALITY. Good length of neck, strong, tapering nicely back into the withers and shoulders, straight front, enough bone and good strong pasterns with well padded feet, she is balanced and excels in front and rear angulations allowing her to move freely on the mat, well sprung rib and dropped to the point of elbow, from above she displays pleasing taper from shoulder through rib, nice type but could be lighter in loin, her coat is short, close and gleaming. Drove from the rear with correct tail carriage. She certainly caught my dreams and made my decision in the final line up very hard, top quality and RESERVE BEST BITCH.
Merseyside SBT Club Champ Show, 1 May 2016 Judge: Kirsty Summerfield (Canakey). Yearling Bitch - 3rd Willowstaff Dream Catcher. Black/Brindle - tidy bitch in good hard condition, pretty expression. Lovely dark, round eye. Moved well.

Good rear end, well muscled hams, let down at the hock. Short, dark nails. Shame to have met 1st, but I am sure she will do well in the future.

Western SBT Society Championship Show - 11 October 2014;
Judge: Steve Robinson (Wensbry)

Minor Puppy Bitch 13 (1) -
1st Smith's Willowstaff Eternal Flame.
Top sized red bitch. Lovely clean front, nice length of neck and correct angulation both front and rear, allowing her to move well. Head has dark eyes, lovely neat ears and a good expression. As a puppy she has all of the attributes of a top drawer bitch and I shall watch her development with interest. She could be a real star of the future.

The Sporting Terrier Association of Yorkshire Open Show -
9 November 2014; Judge: Peter Knight (Redrichstaff)

Puppy Bitch - 1(0). 1st Smith's Willowstaff Eternal Flame.
A red bitch with a white flash on her chest and only 9 months old. A great head with perfect ear carriage, dark round eyes looking straight ahead, very appealing. Correct teeth and the straightest of fronts with nice tight feet, good pigmentation. She has got a bit of lift with an athletic outline, I saw bags of potential in this girl as she moved holding a level topline, made her handler work a bit, showing some independence and character, I liked it. Enough muscle in the hind quarters, definition will follow, stifle well bent. When settled she moved lovely just making it look so easy.

The Sporting Terrier Association of Yorkshire Open Show - 15 February 2015; Judge: Lesley McDonald (Tusselstaff)
Puppy (5 entries). 1st Smith's Willowstaff Eternal Flame.
Top size red bitch presented in fit condition. She has a feminine head, is clean in the lip, has good dentition, eyes dark enough for coat colour and neat ears. Plenty of lift on this bitch, she has good overall balance, exhibiting sound construction and conformation, with a good straight front; good length of upper arm, well up on pasterns, level topline, short coupled, well defined tuck up and is surprisingly hard to the touch. She can be easily distracted by what is going on around her, making her handler work hard, however when she does decide to settle down she moves very well. BEST OF BREED
Western SBT Society Open Show, 21 March 2015 - Judge: Kevin Tittley (Garwstaff)
1st Junior Bitch, 1st Maiden, 1st Novice – Willowstaff Eternal Flame.
Red bitch of high quality. Lovely dark eye, neat ears and good straight under jaw. Nice straight front, lovely topline which she held well on the move. Good powerful rear angulation. Good upper arm. Moved with drive and purpose on the mat. Well handled.
Three Counties General Championship Show, 4 June 2015 - Judge: Linda Lee (Socksdown)
2nd Junior Bitch -19 (4 Abs) – Willowstaff Eternal Flame.
Upstanding, striking fawn/red. Well defined clean head, good front, lovely athletic body. Good movement, another who will have a good future.
Notts & Derby District SBT Club Championship Show, 25 July 2015 - Judge: Rob Drummond (Sparstaff)
1st Yearling Bitch - 16 (4 Abs.)  Willowstaff Eternal Flame.
Very well balanced top size red of good proportions, athletic and agile. Liked her expression and her front which was stood on good feet. She has a correct ribcage and the desired tuck up to loins and sound quarters. Moved and handled well.
Notts & Derby District SBT Club Open Show, 5 Dec 2015 Judge: John Parker (Nettleworth). Post Graduate Bitch - 6(2).
1st Willowstaff Dream Catcher.
Top Sized, athletically built red bitch who tried her best to lose the class by leaning and fidgeting. However once relaxed she looked much better. Nice head, expression, dark eyes and ear carriage but would prefer her to be slightly cleaner in the muzzle. Balanced bitch who is close coupled with decent rib. She had good angulation to her rear and front (when she is not pushing and leaning into the collar). In the final line up she settled much better and really looked the part.
Notts & Derby District SBT Club Limited Show, 20 March 2016 Judge: Peter Knight (Redrichstaff). Post Graduate Bitch 6(3).
2nd Willowstaff Eternal Flame. A red bitch of top size, athletic outline and what a cracker. A great head piece with well placed ears which she used all the time and was alert and on her toes, distinct stop, good dentition and bite, good pigmentation. Impressive type with the straightest of fronts and the tightest of feet, presented in great condition. Well laid back shoulders with enough bone, well angulated front and rear allowing her to move with ease. Her topline is level with a very good underline, a well sprung rib and light in the loin. Her hindquarters are well muscled and defined. When listening to my dictaphone the last thing I said was: "this girl is the best moving so far today", made it look easy with bags of potential.
Western SBT Society Championship Show, 27 May 2016 - Judge: Andy Land (Winzak) Limit Bitch - 13 entries. 1st Willowstaff Eternal Flame. Classy, athletic red. White chest & toes with the shape & symmetry I was looking for. Spot on sound skeleton layout, up on her toes with a true, straight front, lovely length radius, upper arm and scapular, set right, made reaching easy. Brisket to elbow. Nice shape skull, not overdone with correct incline through stop. Good length muzzle & clean lipped. Underjaw visible, correct mouth. Well set eyes & ears. Neck flows smoothly through top of shoulder into a level topline of decent length. Places her rear pads just right. Good length femur from a nicely set pelvis. Matching length tibia; fibia gave leverage. Attractive underline. Proud handler had her in hard, fit condition.
BITCH CHALLENGE CERTIFICATE & BEST OPPOSITE SEX
East Midlands SBT Club Championship Show, 13 November 2016 - Judge: Brett Lay (Gamepit) Limit Bitch - 27 entries.
1st Willowstaff Eternal Flame.
Red top size girl that I have seen from the ring side and did not think that she would be my kind of bitch, until I judged her. Hands on it was a different ball game. Nice dark eye, good ear carriage with a good bite, level topline, good tuck up at the loin. Correct tail carriage, moved well. In fit, hard condition which gave her the edge over my 2nd. Well done - hope you do well with her.

Puppy Dog: 2nd -Tittley & Bosanko's Willowstaff Nats My Daddy at Garwstaff.
Promising young black/brindle who excels when viewed in profile, lovely head, correct topline (slight rise at loin and angled pelvis), facilitating correct rear footing with bent stifle. At this stage in his development though he lacks width and depth on front, which both detract from his appearance and movement on the fore. If this matures in this area he will be very nice indeed.

Belfast Dog Show Society Ch Show - 28 September 2013.
Judge: Martin Grimwood (Stormstaff)
Puppy Dog: 1st -Tittley & Bosanko's Willowstaff Nats My Daddy at Garwstaff.
Black brindle looking very promising at this stage. Head balances to body. Skull has width and depth. Good length to his muzzle. Extremely impressive dentition with strong, long canines. Good expression provided by neat ears correctly placed and dark eye. Correct stop and tight in the lip. Straight in the forequarters. Decent levels of fitness. Good spring of rib and light in the loin. Correct rear angulation. Would prefer a little more pad and tightness of foot.

Western SBT Society Championship Show - 12 October 2013; Judge: Frank Reader.
1st Puppy Dog/Best Puppy Dog/Best Opposite Sex Puppy in Show -Tittley & Bosanko's Willowstaff Nats My Daddy at Garwstaff.

BEST DOG AND BEST IN SHOW
Downlands SBT Club Open Show - 9 October 2016; Judge: Stuart Foster (Tusselstaff)
Open Dog - 1st Tittley & Bosanko's Willowstaff Nats My Daddy at Garwstaff.

Black/brindle dog. Clean in the head with nothing overdone, good muzzle length, clean flews, pleasing expression and correct bite. Nice front with good bone, well ribbed, pleasing profile when viewed side on; could be lighter in the loins. Super rear with well muscled hams, good bend of stifle and tidy feet. Movement was true whilst holding a level topline. A tad heavier than I've seen him before but still enough virtue to take the class.

Puppy Bitch - 1st Willowstaff Arcadian Rose. Liked this puppy a lot and she only just lost out to the dog in the challenge for Best Puppy in Breed. Not a big bitch but height to weight ratio looks about right and she is coming along nicely for her age. Feminine head shape, with nice length of muzzle and correct bite. Decent front with good feet and dark nails. Nicely put together with correct back end. Showed well once settled. BEST PUPPY BITCH

Blackpool Championship Show, 22 June 2012

Puppy
Bitch - 1st Willowstaff Arcadian Rose. Black/brindle bitch that is clean and balanced from every angle. Dark eye, good bite, level top line and good construction. Would prefer a little more width to her front but she has time on her side.

Potteries SBT Club Open Show, 14 October 2012
Judge: Paul Igo (Rumrourke)
Novice
Bitch - 2nd Willowstaff Arcadian Rose.  A black/brindle and white which was placed 3rd in the Junior class Her height was fine and structurally a sound enough bitch, but I would prefer another inch all over her , especially in her front. She may body up as she gets older. Moved and handled well.

North West SBT Club Open Show, 28 October 2012
Judge: Jackie Smart (Arnhem)
Maiden Bitch - 1st Willowstaff Arcadian Rose. Standard sized, feminine black/brindle. Clean head and muzzle, straight front with adequate bone and neat feet. A black/brindle with a white flash on chest, nearly 3 years old. Feminine, not overdone in any way. Very pretty with lovely expression. Neatest of ears, head and muzzle proportions correct. Good under jaw, tight lips, correct bite with big, white teeth. Straightest of fronts, black nails with tight feet, excellent body type, naturally athletic and looks amazing when viewed in profile. Her shoulders are well laid back, good length of upper arm with no looseness at the elbow. She is short coupled and has an excellent topline, held on the move. Good angles front and rear, she moved away with confidence, free agile driving from the rear with economy of effort. I spoke with the Group Judge and she awarded her first in the Group on her clean lines and movement. BEST OF BREED AND GROUP 1.

Junior Dog or Bitch – 1st
Rowellstaff Red Ember at Willowstaff. Quality red bitch and one I have admired from the ringside. Lovely head shape, nothing overdone, showing strength but still feminine. Correct bite, nice ears, nice straight front, good bone, tidy feet, lovely short coupled bitch who looks balanced from all angles. Well laid back shoulders, good spring of rib, ample rear quarters, moved well with economy of effort and showed well for her handler. BEST OF BREED and thank you for allowing me to assess her. Heard later that she gained her final Junior Warrant points as a result - many congratulations.
North West SBT Club Open Show, 20 March 2011 - Judge: John Joyce (Jollyjons)
Junior Bitch – 2nd Rowellstaff Red Ember at Willowstaff (+1st Yearling & 1st Post Graduate).
Red. Another quality young lady who to me had a typically strong head, dark round eyes, distinct stop, good length to her muzzle, strong under jaw and a great, piercing expression. Presented in fit condition as shown by her muscle development and tone. Neck flowed into her withers, leading to a level top line, held on the move. Strong quarters, excellent inner thigh, hocks well let down. On another day the decision could easily be reversed, but thought the winner just shaded it today.

Lovely bitch with super head shape; strong but feminine, good ear carriage, dark eye giving a pleasing expression. Cleanest of fronts, straight and with adequate width and depth of brisket. Correct shoulder placement and good upper arm. Level topline, good tuck up, good rear angulation and bend of stifle. A beautifully balanced bitch when viewed from any angle and free from exaggeration. Show in good, fit condition. Her movement was smooth and free and I was pleased to award her BEST BITCH AND BEST IN SHOW

Bitch - 1st Rowellstaff Red Ember at Willowstaff JW. Fawn/white bitch in good coat and not carrying any excess weight. Her movement was free flowing which enabled her to cover the ground with ease. She has a compact body, excellent waist and tuck up definition, desired slope to the croup, coupled with correct set of the rearquarters. Head is a decent shape and size, distinct stop, very neat ears and dark eye. Her expression is spoilt a little by not having a cleaner muzzle. She is clean off the shoulder with a straight front and just enough lift. Would have liked to have seen her feet a little tighter. All in all a tidy bitch.

Limit Bitch -1st Rowellstaff Red Ember at Willowstaff JW *RESERVE BEST BITCH*  Over the past 2 years I've watched this fawn bitch at the few shows I've been to and loved the look of her as a puppy, then as she got older my interest in her lessened, but today is the first time I've been up close and personal as the saying goes. She is a very soundly put together lady and it shows when she moves. Her head isn't my type; I prefer more shape to the head and a keener expression. From ringside she gives me the impression she is soft to the touch, but after going over her that impression goes out of the window - she's the total opposite.  Effortless movement and handled well. Reserve Best Bitch.

An unexaggerated (and unassuming) black/brindle who is very sound in makeup evidenced by her effortless movement. Very good angulations on both front and rear and her topline is conducive to such. Clean, feminine head with good dentition, a little more strength in under jaw (and ring presence today) would complete.

"The emphasis for me is on the condition and construction that satisfies my perception of functionality and health of a specimen within the scope of the KC Standard for our breed."

Minor Puppy Bitch – 1st Willowstaff Barbed Tongue Confident black brindle bitch displaying everything I hold of value. Very well proportioned head piece with good skull/muzzle ratio, beautifully well placed large teeth set in strong under jaw, clean lipped with good pigmentation throughout, well placed deep set dark eyes. Neck of good length and strength leading smoothly into the well laid shoulders which join an upper arm of good length and displays good overall front angulations, combining strength and flexibility without a hint of looseness of a good length in the forearm leading to pastern of correct length and angle with well padded correctly positioned feet finishing off the very clean straight and well proportioned forequarters when viewed from the front. The ribs taper correctly back and out, are of a good length with adequate brisket running through the point of elbow from which the underline gradually rises back and tucks nicely up into the loin. The rear quarters are coupled with a correct slight rise over the loin, rear angulations are correct and balanced with front. She displays an adequate let down at the hock with correct foot placement falling just behind the pelvic line. Movement is of course correct giving drive, fluidity and economy of effort with the top line being held correctly. A bitch I would be proud to have bred and own.

Moves with a minimum of effort. If she is to compete with the best which she is capable of, her fitness levels now need to be increased as this is what is now missing. BEST PUPPY BITCH

Well up to size. She is going to be a powerful bitch when she is fully matured. Strong head with a broad skull and a good stop. Nice neat feet, turning out slightly at the pasterns. Plenty of drive when moving.

Dark/brindle classy girl with desirable length in radius, lovely clean flowing lines from occiput through shoulder. Topline and pelvis height to weight ratio just right, nice amount of angle to stifle. Well placed hocks moved freely, beautiful expression which justified decision. Could have drove home giving her top honours and been happy.

Alyn & Deeside SBT Club Open, 10 January 2010 - Bitch Judge: Robbie Smith (Scratchline)
"All my winners were a blend of bull and terrier in type, not ‘wannabe’ bulldogs. They were without exaggeration. Best Bitch, Reserve Best Bitch and Best Puppy Bitch all powered their way effortlessly along the mat without the poor rear movement that seems prevalent in a high percentage of the breed today. If a dog is of sound construction and conformation it will move correctly. A dog’s movement tells the truth about the animal.  Breeders should recognise this – what is behind the shoulders is as important as the rest. Most breeds judged face-on to the judge seem to pay the price and we have got to be careful not to make the dogs into a caricature of the fine animal it once was."

Junior Bitch – 1st Willowstaff Barbed Tongue. A very nice top size black bitch. Plenty of lift. A nice solid clean head with a good expression. Nice length of muzzle, good strong underjaw set off with excellent dentition. Nice straight front, correct length of neck set into good shoulders, correct length of back. Could span the waist with a nice tuck up into the loins. Good bend of stifle and again moved purposely and effortlessly along the mat. BEST BITCH – lost to Best in Show on the Referee’s decision.

Notts & Derby District SBT Club Limit, 28 March 2010 - Judge: Kirsty Summerfield (Canakey)

From the moment she entered the ring she didn’t take her eyes off me nor I her. I have watched her grow from a pretty puppy into what she is now - a real stunner. A black bitch with a beautiful head shape with perfectly placed small rose ears which she uses well, deep dark well positioned eyes, and lovely big white scissor bite teeth with no hint of lippiness at all. Her neck flows down to well laid shoulders and a terrific front, clean and true. Topline was held on the move and stacked with nice tuck up and spring of ribs, leading to a well muscled back end with correct tail carriage down to well bent stifles and well padded feet all round.
Pleased to award her

Black/brindle. One of my favourite bitches, having judged her as a pup and given her a RBIS. I can now add she is no disappointment in adulthood. She is fantastically constructed throughout. Clean and well proportioned in the head, with excellent dentition, a top sized bitch oozing athleticism and balance throughout, with movement to die for but did not shine and sank back. Not good enough in the company she kept today - ring weariness? maybe, but cost her the top places rightly or wrongly - get it back in 2012 gal!

Bitch - 2nd Willowstaff Barbed Tongue  A quality bitch that I have admired from a young puppy - this is the first time that I have had the chance to assess her and she lived up to expectations.  Top size black/brindle that produced a free flowing movement covering the ground with no wasted energy. Another with correct head/muzzle proportions (similar to 1). Good eye placement and very neat ears enhanced correct expression. Not quite as clean in lip as 1. Her front is spot on with preferred length/weight of bone and angulation to the shoulder assembly. Strong pasterns with slope to give correct weight support and well padded feet (her front scored over 1 here). Liked her rib shape, although it cuts up sooner than 1st. Defined waist, slope to the croup with correct tail set, sound rear quarters. Although shown in good condition she did not have the hardness of 1. No hesitation in awarding her the RESERVE CHALLENGE CERTIFICATE

Bitch - 1st Willowstaff Barbed Tongue. A black/brindle, four years old and of tremendous quality. She entered the ring and I glanced over and thought: "now we're talking". Lighter and finer with no exaggeration on show, lovely body type possessing the straightest of fronts, the cleanest of outlines and was presented in perfect condition.  A lovely clean head, tight lips, dark eyes and good length in muzzle, "what an expression" - could melt anyone's heart. She is lovely when viewed in profile. She is sound in all departments with a good length of upper arm and angulations front and rear, this contributed to her moving/gliding effortlessly around the ring whilst holding a level top line. The best moving dog today. She is a classy chick and she knows it. BEST OF BREED AND GROUP 2.

Very nice black brindle pup, well up on the leg, nice proportion of muzzle to skull which balances nicely with bodily construction. Large impressive teeth, well pigmented. Hope he does not grow on too much as he’s already at the required height I reckon. Very athletic looking, loads of upper arm with good angulations both front and rear, well tucked up in the loin. Moved & handled well.  BEST PUPPY DOG.

Top quality black brindle.  Lovely top size dog, neat ears with dark eye, good sized teeth with correct bite.  Straight front with well laid shoulders which flowed into a level top line which he held well on the move, also moving with drive and purpose. Also prominent was a good spring of rib and well angulated rear end with a fit, athletic frame to round off the look of this excellent specimen of a well balanced Stafford.  It was my pleasure to award him

Black/brindle with lift whose conformation leaves little to be desired. Well placed ears and eyes, giving rise to a keen expression, excellent dentition - a sporting dog all round whose constructional qualities can only lead to one thing: excellent movement!  He is so well balanced it cannot be ignored as he drives effortlessly along, tucked up well into the loin with slight rise over - likened to a spring wound and ready to extend/drive. 1st Open Dog – Willowstaff Black Marauder. Black/brindle dog that leans more towards terrier than some of today's exhibits. Clean headed with nice length of muzzle and good under jaw. Good ear carriage. One of the best fronts today; enough width and depth of brisket. Nice shoulder placement and light in the loins, though falls away slightly at the rear end. Very balanced dog and in extremely fit condition.

1st Open – Willowstaff Black Marauder. This Black/Brindle 5 year old maybe showing his age a little today. Could have won this class but just didn't seem up for it. A different dog from 1st; lighter and finer in type but a class act nevertheless. Cleanest of outlines viewed from every angle. Naturally athletic and not overdone in any area. Angulations and movement very sound. Ticks all the boxes for me but would ave preferred him harder. He is lovely in profile and the best moving dog today. Handled well.

Junior Dog – 1st Willowstaff New Addition at Garwstaff.
Brindle dog whose style and construction are for me very close to the ideal. Fit, well toned with correct weight of bone and looks to have correct height to weight ratio. Good clean powerful head without displaying any of the exaggerations of excess bone, the head construction allows for well placed round eyes, set nicely back into the sockets, ears neat and well placed enhancing expression.  Good head to muzzle ratio to my preference, good muzzle width and depth accompanied by a formidable under jaw with a large, well placed full set of teeth. Good length of neck, but short enough not to be lacking in strength, well muscled and clean flowing nicely back into well placed shoulders. Good upper and forearm proportions retaining flexibility around the elbow without showing looseness. Brisket deep enough with underline running nicely through the point of elbow. Good rib running back with enough spring range to give good wind.  Good waist and loin supple and flexible, moderately coupled. Rear quarters matched front in angulations giving good support moved purposely with efficiency holding a level top line. BEST DOG & BEST IN SHOW

Really very nice brindle dog that was extremely fit and hard

good angulation, level back and short coupled, well angulated quarters. Movement was erratic but when his handler got him going
correctly it is free and easy with no effort. Coat condition just let him down in final challenge.

. Typy brindle dog. Neat ears and dark well placed eyes, lovely expression, ample stop good length of strong, deep, muzzle housing a good bite. Head balances to body. Up on his pasterns and straight in the forearm. Brisket to elbow with correct rear angulation, good level of fitness and reasonable spring of rib, but a shade more would enhance definition, light in the loin. Alan Mitchell often tells a story about a dog of old that gave the appearance that he could pluck swallows out of the sky. This lad has that sort of agile, effortless movement.

A standard brindle who impressed me with his ring presence. Pleasing head with deep powerful foreface, prominent stop, neat ears and correct eye placement, all provide a lovely expression. Clean in neck and shoulder with just enough weight of bone to the legs. Nice defined body, strong, muscular rear quarters giving correct support through the back pads. "Where possible I always try to pick a dog that is free from exaggerated physical features, of sound construction, whose movement is free flowing and  unconstrained.  For me personally, movement and conformation/condition are primary considerations when assessing the breed. Sadly I was disappointed generally with these aspects on the day.
I would like to see more dogs closer to the 38lb mark as required in the Standard.  Unfortunately I could not agree with my co judge on anything, and all the final top awards were decided by the Referee.  Even though these all went to the bitches, my views and opinions all remain unchanged."

Junior Dog 1st Willowstaff Black Prince
Impressive young black/brindle who stood out for type and conformation. No exaggeration on show. Beautiful head shape, strong proportionate foreface housing good size teeth with correct bite. Satisfactory under jaw. Liked his expression. Clean fronted, feet OK. Scored in shoulder construction, nicely ribbed back. Good angulation to his rear quarters when eased and relaxed. Moved with good length of stride covering the ground with ease. Held a level top line while gaiting, showing unison between front and rear quarters.  The required muscle tone should come with a little harder work. Like him a lot, a dog I could take home with me. Top size black brindle dog – this is an example of a powerful dog without being bully. Good strong head, good length of muzzle with good under jaw and dentition. Nice straight front with plenty of lift, good depth of brisket.  Good strong neck, length of back with a level top line. Good length and bend of stifle. This dog does not seem to like the show ring and looks as if he’d rather be elsewhere. His handler has to work hard to show off the dog’s attributes therefore, it’s only when you go over the dog that you find his qualities. RESERVE BEST DOG.

Very impressive black brindle dog stood out for me on the day. Nice dark eye, lovely strong under jaw with good size teeth with a good bite. Lovely expression, nothing overdone in any way around the head shape, straight clean front, good length of upper arm, nice tidy feet, good angulation at the rear quarters and moved well once settled with a level top line with which he kept on the move. To appreciate this dog a good hard look at what a functional head piece is has to be acknowledged, brick like and well proportioned skull to muzzle carrying large teeth well set in strong jaws powered by the correct musculature, not too steep in the stop, clean lipped and not overly boned in any department. Gums black. Neck of correct length and strong, nicely angulated shoulder, good rib and brisket, good pads of muscle at the withers, correct length of back and loin allow him to accommodate a well angulated rear construction when on the move, whereas a shorter coupled dog would be less fluid and lack efficiency.  Conditioning was ok but could be improved upon.  Handled well which helped secure the win over a very nice dog in 2nd place. Nice rear quarters and moved with drive. Altogether a nice young dog, still developing, but who should fit the Standard in all departments when fully mature. Just needs to harden up now.
BEST DOG & RESERVE BEST IN SHOW - WELL DONE!

Black brindle of standard size and weight with feminine head of good proportions, good pigmentation, excellent dentition – large teeth, well placed round eyes and good ear carriage, very clean throughout.  Good straight front, correct depth of brisket, good length of back with a close coupling, nicely tucked into the loin, correct length and bend of stifle enabling her to move purposely with level top line and good drive which won her the class and RESERVE BEST BITCH

Western SBT Society Open, 13 June 2009, Judge: Simon Hunt (Steelyard)
Open Bitch – 2nd Willowstaff Barbed Wire.
Well made and well balanced bitch, good head and length of muzzle with clean lips, front is straight with nicely angulated shoulder line, level top line, good spring of rib, short coupling leading to hindquarters well angulated. Have seen her fitter but still she moved well.
Alyn & Deeside SBT Club Open, 10 Jan 2010, Bitch Judge: Robbie Smith (Scratchline)
Open Bitch: 2nd Willowstaff Barbed Wire
(Mother of Best Bitch).
A nice top sized black brindle bitch. Ample bone without being over done, strong but feminine head, good length of muzzle with a good string under jaw set off with excellent dentition. Nice straight front, level top line, good bend of stifle. It seems she is just 14 weeks after whelping so it is a credit to her owner as she just lost out to 1st today on condition but that is understandable.

Post Graduate Bitch - 2nd Willowstaff Poetic Justice. Balanced black/brindle without exaggeration.  Shapely/defined feminine head, good front, correct rib and taper, light in loin. Rear angulation conducive to stability and drive from the rear. A little tucked under in the croup/pelvis when stacked, but this did not affect her movement.

14 month brindle bitch - was a bit disappointed with this youngster as I have seen her in better condition. Neat ears, dark eye, straight front with a level top line. Nice feminine shape head with strong under jaw, nice size teeth with correct bite. Level top line which she held on the move. Fitness and condition were an issue. Moved and handled well.

. Lovely conformation on this young lady, excellent head which is so well balanced with correct length of muzzle to skull ratio, clean lipped, lovely neat ears giving a keen expression. Nice body with good depth and spring of rib. Could do with a pound or two off to complete picture which cost her the class. Good angulation to rear quarters, moved well.
Grantham & District Canine Society, 23 October 2010 - Judge: Joanne Essex (Javawolf)
Post Graduate Dog/Bitch - 1st
Willowstaff Shades of Red. A beautiful 3 year old brindle bitch. Looked good from every angle, stood four square. Loved her muzzle shape, enough length, strength and clean, with big white teeth of correct bite. Excellent front and rear angulation, allowing her to move with power and drive. Well sprung ribs and short coupled with a powerful back end. Only thing I could see wrong was she is carrying a little too much weight. Lose this and it will finish the picture.
Best of Breed and Terrier Group 3.

Post Graduate Bitch. This was a very hard choice between 1st and 2nd in this class.
I really liked lots about both of them;  in the end it did come down to condition. 2nd - Willowstaff Shades of Red. Brindle - beautiful colour, lovely head shape and loved her clean lips and strength of under jaw, perfect mouth with really big teeth. Nice ears which she used well. Straight front and although she doesn't have quite the angulation in front and shoulders of the first, she does have a better backend and top line. Moved with real drive but unfortunately she is just carrying too much weight which does affect her overall look.

- How lucky was I to be presented with another top drawer bitch. Much of what I've said about the BOB can be applied to this classy girl and to be honest I was nit picking, as she excelled in other departments. Confident bitch who showed her socks off, seriously considered but just preferred overall package of puppy.
